Oh. You mean the thing that actually protects workers?? Of course they do! Young people aren’t nearly susceptible to misinformation as theIR boomer counterparts are. All you have to do to rile up a boomer is put up a meme on FB. OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE JOE BIDEN ATE 2 LIVE NEWBORNS YESTERDAY?! LIBERALS ARE THE EVILEST!!
“Well, it turns out it’s not true BUT THE FACT I’D BELIEVE IT REALLY SAYS SOMETHING”
It’s a lot easier to not support unions when there are enough of them with enough power that you can make similar demands on your own. It’s so much harder when companies tell you to go fuck yourself as a worker and as a customer
There is a huge opportunity in the US for unions to return. The time is right and the conditions are right. It’s just a matter of who will leap to claim it.
- Why so low?
Kochs and Wilkses.
Vote for representation that supports unions – and equally important, vote AGAINST those who do not. VOTE ALWAYS.
then vote mutherfuckers
Voting is fine, but meaningful change happens from the ground up.
Unions, based on trust and solidarity among the working class, are essential for building the kind of society that is the one in which we want to live.
This is nice, but I hope they find a love for the one big union.
Unfortunately, Americans older than thirty years still remain largely indoctrinated to support their oppressors.
But the company is like a family
‘People advocating for socialism actively fight for more capitalism’ more at 11
Let them work and then pay for the union, the will wake up for the reality
You must be quite sick from licking so many boots
Nah they love that leathery texture.
The reality of being protected against companies taking advantage of employees?
My union has gotten me more money in multiple single years since I’ve been hired that I’ll pay in dues for my whole career.
You are spare parts, bud.
gravitas_deficiency, how are ya now?
Good’n’you?
Oh, not so bad!
All of the workers rights you enjoy today were won by unions. That’s reality.
What 1.5-2.5 hours a month of pay that’s higher than at other companies with better conditions and benefits? At least that’s what my experience in the UAW was. I only left that job to move up in my career.
As if you aren’t being fucked by the people at the top of whatever company you work for.
Those boots must taste real good.
