I’m sure the three people who would vote for her are champing at the bit for her to throw her hat into the ring.

She’ll peel voters away from Trump, so I’m all for her running as a spoiler, obnoxious as she is. Assuming she peels votes from Trump, she said she won’t do it if it helps Trump.

Will she though? Who is going to vote for Trump that would be willing to vote for the woman who condemned Trump instead?

Country Club Republicans and Chamber of Commerce conservatives, as they’re commonly referred to. They make up a significant, but powerless, portion of the GOP base and are essential to winning any election that’s less than R+30.

Probably people like my parents, who aren’t down with the far right but still don’t want to vote democrat. Makes no sense to me but there’s definitely a segment out there. If they know there is a less extreme GOP option they’ll vote that way 10 times out of 10.

It makes sense if you have money and just want it to be taxed as little as possible. That’s not an excuse - just explaining the mentality.

the same kind of person that voted for Obama twice and then Trump twice. I am sure they exist.

She wouldn’t make a dent in the primary and wouldn’t even appear in the general. She’s helping some reporter make their article quota, that’s about it.

Yeah, but who would vote for her that was originally going to vote for Trump considering she denounced Trump?

She would be targeting the people that are so damn tribal that they wouldn’t vote for Biden, but are sick enough of Trump’s bullshit to protest vote or uninformed enough to think she has a chance.

Third party candidates are always a non-zero amount of people. And in the age of candidates winning by a few hundred here and there, that could be enough.

People who don’t want to vote for Trump but can’t stand the thought of voting for Biden.

She’s never going to win and she’s smart enough to know that.

But she can spoil Trump’s bid if she runs third party. And she just might tbh.
