I play on the easiest mode and that damn whole stealth chain of missions was awful. Hated every moment of it. Forget if you never put points into stealth, then it’d truly be impossible.
Like when you mind control, why do the other NPCs and turrets think they’re enemies and start blasting their own homie who’s just trying to run to a corner? Also sometimes the social popped up but I couldn’t mind control, even as hidden.
Had to blast some NPCs multiple times during those quests just to get out of the chain cuz it was basically impossible do it undetected.
I swear, Stealth is broken in this fucking game
I have every perk related to stealth maxed out, I’m wearing every possible invisible space suit / helmet combination PLUS that stupid tactical stealth suit, and basically every turret fire at me from miles away.
If an enemy is above level 10 they spot me almost instantly as well. Very frustrating.
It took me AGES to max out the perk that requires you to stab 75 NPCs because it doesn’t work!
Ya. Honestly fuck that shit. I hate stealth normally so my opinion is already skewed, but this was beyond awful for me.
Stealth is strait up broken. It just does not work.
Good. I thought it was me. I mean, I’m shit at stealth missions normally, but this was another level of bad.
Yeah I had the same issue on that level, they definitely need to fix the marking of the NPC as an enemy immediately
Guys, the game doesn’t make it obvious that you have to unequip your space suit for stealth. Like wtf!!
Is this s true thing? How did you find out?
After failing ryujin sneak so many times, an internet thread reminded people that stealth mechanic checks the weight of your equipped items like fallout 4
Geeeez. No wonder.
You know those little cleaning robots that move around and sometimes mess with your stealth meter? They have families and kids. If you disable- I mean cold bloodily murder them you are a terrible person.
At least that’s what my quest giver told me after I shot them during a quest
All of the stealth missions were ass, but the last one at Generdyne was the worst. Also, it doesn’t make any damn in-game sense that an 80-year old corporation coasting by on old tech has better security than the top secret labs of the UC where they develop the comspike… but hey, what do I know…
The first time I did Generdyne was a nightmare. Then I did it again over the weekend on NG+4 (I think) and it was a breeze, Admittedly I had more skills, wore the operator suit rather than my spacesuit and I found a load of vents I managed to miss the first time. Still, I managed to make it right to the final area without being spotted.
Then, I didn’t fancy trying to get through the last office area so I just engaged Void Form and sprinted. I got into the boss’s office, and hid behind a partition. One worked ran in in a panic, didn’t see me, and evnetually ran out muttering something about “If I reported every weird thing I see in this place …”
I quite enjoyed that mission.
Hahaha. Oh ya so true.
I think it really depends on the perks you have in stealth and related perks. Because I have quite a few (not maxed), and thought it was very doable. Although I was about lvl 50 during the ryujin quest.
I just turned level 25, so I did the whole chain as like early 20s, but those missions were the only reason I put a single point in stealth. Straight up sucked.
Yeah, it sucked, I did it, fully stealth, way too many reloads, god I wish I knew taking off spacesuit would increase stealth, I did even mind control cause I forgot about it.
I don’t think I could even recreate what I did now, but God it was awful
I forgot mind control halfway through until I looked up a video guide, since I was failing so hard. Then I tried it and it fucked everything up since the NPCs started shooting at the mind controlled NPC. Then I got detected and threw off the patrols. So then I just started blasting.
I didn’t mind the stealth missions. Had only 1 point in stealth and some chameleon armor for the ones during the crimsonfleet quest line. Did the ryujin ones with 3 levels in stealth and my armor.
Gotta make sure you’re using the stims that reduce noise, as well as turning off the run button while you’re crouched. Sense Star stuff power helps in seeing where guards are and patrol routes. As for robots and turrets, just can’t be in their line of sight, so move when the laser is pointed away. Can also disable them momentarily as you make your way past.
