Can anyone recommend a set of flip flops that are durable and last a long time? I had another cheap pair break the other day, and I’m looking for something more durable.

Did you hear the Idiocracy anecdote? The costume designer had to find some shoes that absolutely nobody would ever wear and it was the early 2000s so there was this brand new show on the market, so she brought back boxes of Crocs and was like: here. Here is the ugliest, dumbest shoe I could find.

I actually want a pair of the og model, but haven’t got them yet.

What i usually do is get a cheap pair of slippers, cut out the rubber thong, and use a length of Paracord to tie tarahumaru sandals. Cheap, comfortable as heeeeck, they look cool, and you can make and repair them yourselves. Life lasts on the durability of the sole you choose, I usually use softer soles so they conform to my feet better.

Called Huaraches - here’s how to tie them https://youtu.be/BwEusN9DCxw

You both have valid points. This kind of civility and open-mindedness is fantastic, but it’s not going to make a croc less ugly. A croc is all the bad shoes ever made, rolled into one and dipped into the powdered sugar of despair.

Can’t argue that they aren’t ugly but im the kind of guy that is utility and function are all that matter. Much to my wifes chagrin. I have a black pair I call my bussiness crocs for the office.

Like on a chain or wrapped around your neck? Does it ward off vampires like garlic or were you trying to sneak a snack into a movie?
