I’m an idiot so it took me about 3 frustrating years to get all the docker containers working. Worth it every day

YSK I’m profiteering off of the masses thinking like this by not moving my money. It’s worked for me every time someone told me “you should reinvest”
After making the jump, you’re totally right
Hey, coming back to this a year later with more experience after quitting then starting back up again. I wish I remembered people mentioning Proxmox, it fits my needs more than my current Ubuntu setup. Thank you for the advice
No joke, I was talking about this recently. I feel like niche groups (me included) are just going full-circle back to the DS days
Just bought a 2001 car for this very reason, and it’s the best driving car I’ve had in a decade
Seconded, I’m an idiot with networking, but this has worked for me
Oh, I see. That was a dummy question, my apologies
What are the differences between Odin and (what I’m currently using) Jellyfin from a small system admin’s perspective?
I mean…VM, run Tor as a container within the VM, and don’t change any default settings. Amiright guys?
You can even run the browser in a docker container if you’re extremely paranoid (I’m on the verge)
I’d recommend something like a split tunnel then. And I’m only saying that because I’m not well-versed in networking like this, especially when containers are involved.
But I do have containers routing their traffic through a VPN via gluetun, and it’s worked flawlessly.
Then why not post one?
I think I’m missing something…why bother with SOCKS5 if you’re using a gluetun container? I’ve never done what you’re trying to do, but I’d assume gluten by itself is the solution
If you’re using radarr/sonarr, you can…I’d refer to the trash guides, they have instructions for specifying language/subtitle tracks.
Anecdotally, I would strongly advise against limiting your options like that. As long as you have a way to set your streaming preferences and get the audio track you need, you shouldn’t even notice the other tracks.
With that said, you can strip the unnecessary tracks out with other software (I think Handbrake can, but I’ve never done it).
I couldn’t agree more. The money I’ve put into international stock and bonds have been wasted compared to domestic stock every time I’ve tried. This is purely anecdotal however
I’ve played many shows for free after several hours driving (with gas I paid for), US’s music scene is set up to fail
Today, I own 3 CRTs and they don’t make my eyes burn
Nope! I could watch one all day, no clue why
I was just looking into this yesterday. I’d love to hear if it’s worth the hassle. People seem to be 50/50 on its long-term usefulness, “just use _____!”
