My favourite part was one comment that said “If they simply let you turn off the Copilot stuff, you’d just be sitting there paying the increased fee”

As someone with moderately long but exceptionally wide feet, having tiny feet seems like it’d be much easier to find shoes that fit…
This for me too. Reddit Is Fun/RIF let users save comment drafts. This was great for going back to check anything in Lemmy beyond the one comment you’re replying to.
What are “democrats coconut vibez”?
I’d love to be able to save message drafts.
Sometimes I start typing up a reply to a comment, but I want to go back and check the OP, or a previous comment, or the community I’m in, or even the rules of the community I’m in.
Right now, I can copy my comment and paste it in. But if I find myself wanting to copy text from one of those other places, I’m out of luck (unless I want to turn on clipboard history, which I don’t due to security concerns). I could use a separate app, but that’s annoying.
Another thing I’d like is a better flow for recovered text. It seems that Voyager saves one draft whenever the app crashes/closes when writing a comment. It asks if I want to save or discard the comment. This is good.
What I’d like better is that recovering the text actually takes me to where I was writing the comment. Sometimes it’s hard to remember where I was writing the comment, or even if I do remember, it can be hard to find it again.
Overall, I’m loving the app. These are my only 2 pain points right now.
If they stop being exploited, they stop being able to pay their bills. Kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I dunno, I’ve still got a couple people arguing with me on Lemmy that Trump saved Palestine by bringing about a ceasefire, and that making Trump president was better than voting Democrat would’ve been.
I’d rather see their methods of profit be made illegal. Not all at once. Let them try to find loopholes and other unethical ways of making obscene amounts of money, and make those illegal too.
Maybe they can switch to a paid model out of necessity, and then they wouldn’t be quite as omnipresent.
Are you still in college? That would be the first place I’d look for help.
In the past, the US was a country that could be depended on. The last 10 years have shown that to no longer be true.
I think the US will be going downhill in terms of international standing over the next few decades.
I’d rather support the Democrats than support Trump’s victory, which, if you didn’t vote, you have done. Congratulations on your “moral” victory.
Looks like just 2 years ago. My bad!
Recently? Feels like it’s been more than a decade now…I could be wrong though
Probably. I’m still trying to figure out what “Single-Dose Drug Wipes” are.

Why would any politician care about people who don’t vote?
Historically, it’s easier for them to campaign in swing states than to get non-voters to vote.
As well, not voting doesn’t send a clear message. That might’ve been your message. 9,699,998 of the others might’ve just not voted for Harris because she’s a woman. Who knows? Not the politicians, because they’re not on Lemmy.
They’re making Nazi salutes over the heads of children
Since nazis hate jews by definition
That’s not the definition, that’s an association.
It’s like saying that the definition of an American is someone who hates tea. That’s a much older association (and the comparison is tongue-in-cheek), but this kind of thing isn’t how definitions work.
In a 2-party system, a vote for one party makes the other party more likely to lose (depending on where you live etc).
A vote for a third-party is effectively not much different than spoiling your ballot. It says you’re okay with sacrificing your vote to send a message, but you don’t care which of the two parties wins. Either is fine for you.
Not voting is worse than voting third-party or spoiling your ballot. It sends the message that either of the 2 parties is fine for you. That’s it.
So consider that if you think you sent a message against the Democrats with your vote. Because most people probably just sent the message that they don’t care if Trump wins, and they don’t care if Harris wins.
When I brought this up, plenty of people here attacked me for being a boot-licking CEO supporter, lmao
I didn’t even say the CEO was guilt-free, I just explained that there are a lot more people than just him who were responsible for the shitty decisions.
The article looks like it has evidence of the original definition of “Meteoidvania”, which didn’t originally refer to a genre, but to games in the Castlevania series that played like Metroid.
If we wanted to update the term for accuracy, we’d probably be calling the “Metroidvania” genre “Metroid-likes” instead.
