The PS2’s memory cards really felt like the future to me because they had SO MUCH space.
Of course, on-console storage was the ACTUAL future, which proves yet again that the 3DO was ahead of its time. But anyway…
The PS2 memory cards had so much space that I think I only ever needed two for me and my brother. Probably didn’t even need to delete any saves. We had tons of PS1 and DC memory cards, because they’d get full so quickly
UN: “USA, NO!”
USA: “What? I’m right here.”
UN: “Sorry, force of habit. GERMANY, NO!”
Stripers! Things that stripe!
Hmm…if it’s close, I’d just use my keyboard. If it’s far, I’d probably want the precision of the cursor anyway.
On the phone? Because otherwise, why not cut and paste?
Yeah, that’s either two “sentences” or one statement imo!
The first part doesn’t even need to be a question. A suggestion like that would usually be a statement. If there’s enough rising intonation that it needs a question mark, there’s probably enough of a pause to justify having two sentences.
Even with the en dash, it looks like subtraction to me! Haha
An em dash wouldn’t, but that would also probably be too wide
Isn’t that just “approximately equal to”, and as such, wouldn’t express a range?
Ah, I see. Like you suggested though, that’s definitely not a question (which is what the other comment said)
To express a range of numbers, Korean (and likely other Asian languages) will use a tilde instead of a dash or hyphen. To me, that better expresses that we’re talking about an indeterminate value or a range. Especially when we use ~ for “about”, as in ~$20 for something that costs $17.99 before tax, for example.
Dining out costs like 20~40 dollars per person!
Whereas “20-40” looks too similar to a subtraction equation or a hyphenated word to me.
Either the whole thing is a question or you need to break it up.
I’m curious if you can convince me otherwise though!
The only way a racist will support an “African American”
They should really just remove everyone’s page. Bring 'em all back when the voting population smartens up.
I was gonna say that every human being has Black ancestors…of course, misunderstanding of that fact probably enables some racists
Lol ok, yeah, that’s probably what it was.
You might want to look into some studies done on those studies – there are IQ tests that historically (and sometimes presently) had culturally-ingrained aspects to their questions that made it hard for minorities and newcomers to answer properly. E.g., IQ tests with questions about baseball that assume the test-taker knows how many innings are in a game, how many outs/balls/strikes to get a player out, etc.
Wikipedia seems to have a lot to say on it, including some of the criticisms.
But generally speaking you’re probably looking at what’s mostly a correlation, not a direct causation.
Well, I’m not seeing anyone calling you out yet. But maybe you made it sound more racist before, or something? Lol
Measles outbreaks are coming back, lol
Meanwhile, there’s what, 20x more fentanyl coming into Canada from the US than from Canada into the US?
Should I write those cheques to the poor now, sir?
