    South probably never planned to, but soon they could invade and unify the country, which would also stop North troops to be sent to Ukraine. 🤔

      SK doesn’t even want to look at the mess that’s going on at the North of their border.
      Probably the only actual boon from unification would be a bit more of mountainous frigid space and lots of rocky coast. Because unfucking what’s been going on for the last eighty-odd years would make Germany’s unification a Disney holiday.

        I’m sure not having a crazy government with nukes and artillery pointed at their capital would be a non-trivial benefit.

          That is, for their government, a perk. While your people are worried about their neighbors, they do not stop and consider if you’re doing a good job.

      NK has about 1,300,000 active duty military personell and another 7 million reservists. They are unfortunately not going to run out any time soon.
