    “they” is a pronoun though.

Avoiding pronouns is really impossible unless you want to sound like the worst kind of scientific paper

An individual would have to assume that persons involved in making such a policy know the absurd ramifications for how aformentioned policy would impact the communications of persons bound by such rules.

Surely policy makers know what role pronouns play in speech… Right?

Solomon Grundy says Solomon Grundy doesn’t need pronouns! Solomon Grundy says Solomon Grundy will run NASA!

      Right.

But for more casual writing, etiquette dictates they/them for anyone who chooses not to share their pronouns. So as long as we’re all collectively not sharing our pronouns, I’ll just have a lot of they/them in my writing. And I plan to very politely accept correction - from each person who shares their pronouns with me. Lol.

Oh yeah, I completely agree with doing the only polite thing. But the more hilarious thing would be to completely avoid pronouns, and get someone to officially tell you how to act, because they really really don’t want to officially answer that.

Yeah. We’re on the same page. There’s so much room to be studiously polite and let fragile folks make asses of themselves. Lol.
