    No way that was ordered from a proper Italian pizzeria. That pie is way too thick.

      Unless you are getting pizza al taglio, or sicilian pizza, off the top of my head. There is even a popular napalese pizzeria that has a pineapple pizza. Italy isn’t a monolith, and each region can vary greatly on how they make the same dish, or even what they consider to be traditional foods.

              You can call it decadence all you want but wet pizza toppings are objectively bad for the quality of the pizza. It doesn’t matter how much you pat it dry, that pineapple weeps liquid as it cooks and makes the texture of the cheese beneath it gross.
