    No way to prevent this…

without violating the fundamental human rights guaranteed by our founding documents.

Fundamental human rights like free access to medical treatment and going to school without the fear of being shot to death? Oh no, wait…

      Fuck your ancient shit documents

There’s a difference between personal liberties and rights and collective ones.

Can you name few of those personal liberties that would outweigh the benefits of the things I mentioned?

Because, living in Europe, all I hear from you guys is how your corrupt, pseudo democratic government shits on peoples personal rights all day.

You know, like abortion rights, minorities being treated like shit, shitty labor laws, outrageous costs just to get educated etc…

Saying that healthcare is important and lives are important doesn’t change the fact that there’s certain things that are fundamental. If you think universal healthcare should be a right it doesn’t stop other rights.

And if it was working as intended the 2nd amendment would have allowed the people to stage a bloody revolution against the government that tramples their rights. Tanks, jets and warships for the citizenry. Fuck the ATF, and fuck Brady what’s his face.

Yes, there are certain fundamental rights. But letting every nutjob own machine guns, just so you can have weird fantasies about bloody revolutions isn’t one of them imo, sorry.

As far as I know no mass shooting (outside of gangs) has been done with a “machine gun”. Actual, legally purchased full auto guns are illegal after 1986 l and those produced before that are extremely rare and require registration. Sure it’s not difficult to create a fully automatic rifle, but that being the case there still hasn’t been one in a mass shooting.

Okay I’m obviously not educated enough about guns. Because we don’t need them here, i guess. Turns out the preferred weapons of choice for mass shooters are just SEMI automated guns.

Makes it all so much better, nothing to see here!

I can see it now, “only way to stop a bad guy with a tank is a good guy with a tank.”

Seeing as how human beings are still the same as they’ve always been I’d say they did pretty good. Still violent disagreements, out to control as much as they can. Harder to be a sociopath when it might come back and bite you hard.

Humans are the same, but is society?
