NCD was one of my absolute favorite subbreddits, and one of the few communities I was truly sad to leave behind. It looks like it may be destroyed anyway. Hopefully this means more users from the NCD community will move to federated communities like the one I’m familiar with on sh.itjust.works.

True it was the only community that I visited once again after leaving Reddit. But I’m sure a seccessor will emerge.

If they’re going somewhere else like the Fediverse, I wish that they’d at least sticky a link or something so that people can find it.

I didn’t know about them before I signed up for Lemmy, when I first signed up Jeroba defaulted to local and it was mostly NCD showing up, not that I’m complaining because they seem chill.

What was NCD? I was a redditor for 12 years but never came across it.

How can I even describe it lol. It is the counterpart to CredibleDefense, a places for discussion of modern military technology and geopolitics. Imagine a place full of military nerds coming up with the goofiest weapon designs, war plans and NATOwave memes ever devised. Then Ukraine got invaded, the sub went into meme mass production and an impressive amount of shit they joked about actually happened.
