To be fair- if the shit absolutely hit the fan you could mass train on DCS and save airframe and training costs.
Don’t expect the pilots to be as good or experienced though.

Metal fatigue has been addressed through annealing, by leaving them in the desert for a couple decades. Once all the seals turn to powder you’re good to go.

Give it to the drone operators. They’re already used to taking the biggest weapon your propulsion can carry, delivering it into hostile airspace by simply ignoring the risk of damage, and putting the fear of god into people who think they’re behind armor.
