I think the Shepherd is trying to teach them how to jump, and one of them looks like it came close to making it once

Looks more like a big dog trying to teach little dogs how to do it.

The shep turns and looks back, waiting for the little ones. It’s play, and the big one wants them to jump and chase too.

Haha, we had an older cat that would leap the baby gate that kept (not her) kittens from going downstairs. Even when the kittens were big enough to easily leap the gate, they wouldn’t, and would watch in wonder as “big sis” would escape for some peace & quiet. It was a magic baby gate, obv.

    Half dog, half frog.

We should be aware a lot of German Shepherds suffer in later life just because esthetics. A lot won’t be doing any of this later in life, they will be crawling on their front legs just for the esthetics breeders want.

This looks like a working line GSD. It’s hard to tell from the video, but I can’t see much, if any, slope on its back.

If you want a GSD, make sure you use a reputable breeder and avoid show line dogs. Genetic screening and meeting the parents will give you some peace of mind about the health of your pup.

We had a tiny chihuahua cross (rescue, we don’t know exactly what she was) who would scale 1.5 meter tall wooden fences on our farm

No idea how she did it

I don’t see how it’s wholesome - the larger dog is perpetuating the breed divide and flaunting his advantageous circumstances, while the lower breed remains helpless.

    It’s kinda cute tho

I dunno, maybe the shepherd’s great great great great great great grandsire suddenly became Argentinian after the war, if you know what I mean?
