Yeah imo this is the biggest strategic downside to Trump getting back in. Unlike Afghanistan Ukraine has done well with the support they have been given, and are sapping the strength and economy of on of our long time rivals. They are doing the world a service.
It would be incredibly non credible to throw the fight now without serious negotiations.
