Summary

Oklahoma’s Attorney General rejected State Education Superintendent Ryan Walters’ directive requiring schools to show a video announcing a new Department of Religious Freedom and Patriotism.

The video, which includes a prayer for Trump, was sent to schools and parents, but multiple districts have refused to comply.

The AG’s office called the mandate “unenforceable” and a violation of rights.

Walters, known for opposing “woke ideology,” also faces lawsuits over requiring Bible-based lesson plans and purchasing Trump-endorsed Bibles for classrooms, which critics argue breaches church-state separation.

500 bibles for $25,000? That’s $50 per Bible that were 100% made in China for about $3 each. Someone report this to DOGE!

This has been their MO for years. A good documentary called “Jesus Camp” was made in like 04. It was about a children’s religious summer camp. It ended with a bunch of children praying to a literal life sized cardboard cut out of W Bush. Those kids are like 30 now and likely have their own kids. They’re just so fucking weird.

This video is bizarre. There’s a ton of static noise, there’s computer clicking, and it stops before he even finishes the prayer! I thought this was a screen grab with a live mic but then I saw that it was posted by the OK DOE.

The thing is they see christian values as the default. As the historical, centuries old standard. It can’t possibly be brainwashing to live to the values of your forefathers right?

So they see everything new as suspicious by default. And if it’s new and counter to the historical values they espouse, it’s deviant and “indoctrination” by new, inauthentic standards.

Obviously this is all bogus, but it’s the dance they do.

They say “kids who are homeschooled are more likely to have their parents values” and then decry brainwashing in school.

And now it goes to SCOTUS and SCOTUS declares this a Christian country and then all kids will be mandated to pray in school.

America is swirling around the bowl and heading down the pipe fast.

And to be clear, the guy pushing this directive is possibly getting tapped to run the Department of Education. I am so fucking glad I didn’t/won’t have children. Sorry parents who voted against this.
