greatest point against him being a rationalist is the 262 word manifesto, it would be 20,000 words with sections numbered I. II. III. and possibly diagrams

The man probably went insane after psychedelic use, and I have never noticed @BasedBeffJezos to advocate for fixing the system by shooting individual executives. It’s a great shot at drawing a plausible-sounding connection; but I think it’s not valid criticism.

wait I’m confused, to be a more effective TESCREAL am I not supposed to be microdosing psychedelics every day? you’re sending mixed signals here, yud (also lol @ the pure Ronald Reagan energy of going “yep obviously drugs just make you murderously insane” based on nothing but vibes and the need to find a scapegoat that isn’t the consequences of your own ideology)

also lol @ the pure Ronald Reagan energy of going “yep obviously drugs just make you murderously insane”

always think of this (which is just multiple kinds of amazing in the current day; that it keeps getting used as a sample in dance tracks is just even better)

HQ sez the grift is pivoting back to puritanical virtue ethics, we need to have cleansing struggle memes ready by next week so we can hit it hard over the holidays. Did you not get the memo?

So parts of his manifesto (which was short) was published, and it was pain that radicalized him, ah well a superpredictor like Yud can’t be right all the times. If only he had the image of a blade of grass that could have been a hint, sadly we did not.

      Spoiler for the image link.

The image is a scan of a persons back with various medical rods in the back, which was part of the (ALLEGED) shooters twitter image before it got deleted. The blade of grass thing is a reference to an infamous story of Yud about how AGI could figure out another universes physics just by looking at a video frame of a blade of grass bending in the wind.

On the other hand, bombing foreign data centers, likely located in densely populated urban areas, would be justified and morally upstanding if it seems like they might be incarnating the imaginary computer god! I’m glad we have such a nuanced thinker guiding our modern morality.

So the first time in a long time (ignoring Japan) a single pleb does something that actually is a bit of accellerationism, which is highly praised by all colors of the political spectrum (fuck the grays), and now it isn’t real e/acc? I’m not sure who the fake e/acc people here are!

(I’m kidding here btw, I do think it is quite good that the people who talk people into cults are taking a stance that murdering people you dislike is bad, esp considering their crazy ideas re AI, minorities, animal rights, and Sneerclubbers).

Is it crazy that I don’t think that the guy is the shooter? I don’t see the EA crowd, famous for bootlicking, being up to the task of CEO assassination.

NB: I will not perform sleuthing, i.e. reading up on this guy or anything he wrote. I don’t think it’s worth it

I think it is odd that he in the several days between the murder and the arrest kept the gun and the fake id he used in New York. Doesn’t prove anything, people have been known to do odd things, but then again police also have been known to plant evidence or make claims of evidence that doesn’t stand up in court. Guess I will await the trial (if there is one).
