trying on some new shorts in the change room, walk in close the blind pull my pants down and just stare at myself in the mirror for like a good 5 seconds thinking “something isnt right…” takes me that long to realize its cause I’m just standing there with my dick out cause I’ve stupidly removed my briefs as well! I came back to my office and tried to use apple pay to access the lifts rather than my lanyard, another 5-10 second delay as I grapple with “why did this not work the way I expected”.

Jesus, dont let me touch anything important today my brain is cooked.

been a good day so far

back is greatly improved and I’m sleeping better

went out with froze brain, happened to buy a book and instead of just sitting there at bus stop looking like this as I often do, I was able to read a book

    spoiler

also planted another punnet of lettuces seedlings, some parsley, coriander and chives when I got home

Today I am especially sleepy and especially cranky.

Have a networking lunch today. Need to turn my grumpy, don’t talk to me energy to personable and approachable. Not sure it’s gonna happen.

I did some tech support at an aged care facility today as a bit of a side hustle. It would be an alright bit of extra money if I can make it a regular thing.

I only worked with one person though, trying to get the IMAP configuration working for her ensuing on her phone. Unfortunately I didn’t get it set up during the session so I’ll need to look into it more

      Tired too.

Up at 5:30am yesterday to go to work.

Home at midnight because concert, didn’t get to sleep until nearly 1.

Up again at 5:30am this morning.

I think the real reason though is that I’m just getting too old for this shit and don’t spring back like I used to 😆

Made it down the Bellarine to fix some watering problems. Chillos have had a week off water but they’re not looking too bad:

This is sort of the ‘don’t have to worry too much’ stage thankfully.

Two schools of thought for spacing. Some say they like to ‘hold hands’ so plant them close, others say the opposite. This year they’re holding hands.

IIRC a lack of water over a short period can promote stronger root growth in chillies so the week off may have benefited you against windy weather. Those are looking gorgeous!

Nice irrigation system btw! I need to build/install mine this weekend, but with Sunday being 30° and Monday being 40° it’s going to end up into late next week isn’t it?

I’m on the space side of the debate btw, so please let me know if this approach works better for you this season. Reason for my stance is that it gives them more room to grow and establish a root system that is more sturdily overwintered.

Also this season I found out that if you have 2+ seeds germinate in one jiffy pellet and you just yank the younger sprouting one with force ignoring any root care and place it in a second jiffy pellet that they don’t care about their roots that early and, go on to thrive with no delay / lag in growth. Makes me wish I’d had never culled all but one multiple germinations in one cell.

Ooh nice. I definitely found chillies enjoy routine water.

I’m usually on the space side of the debate too so we’ll see what happens heh.

Lunch is over, so now I feel like I’m allowed to get properly excited about dinner – Korean food, heck yes!! I’m amused by myself in that I’m watching KDramas, eating Tteok-bokki and drinking soju, but going to Japan at the end of the year…

Speaking of travel, I hope CEO has an easy and safe flight over to NZ today!

It took almost 2 hours to build the couch. Fuckin IKEA man. Dryer man’s said he’d be here by 2:15, but I believe those of you also in Victoria, the ACT or NSW may notice it is currently not that. I can’t go until he delivers, and I have a rowdy parcel man to satisfy

It sucks, but! it’s a valuable life lesson and learning experience so try and take it in your stride! I’ll send you an Uber Eats voucher if you DM you email addy so you can get some free food as a reward.

The whole moving process truly sucks (I’ve moved 7 times in the past decade alone and started that decade with owning nothing in *this beautiful country).

Aw thanks indi, that’s very kind! Honestly though I was so exhausted I ended up just going straight to bed for a few hours after getting back. Had some pastizzis and bulla ice cream. Life’s good

A big part of IKEA’s business model is people undervaluing their own time. Their furniture is cheap, but that’s because there’s no cost for the labour to putit together.

I get for some people they have no choice and need to go with what’s most accessible, but that’s why I try avoid IKEA

TMI wound warning… a bit of pus with black bits of debris came out of my finger. Hopefully that means it has managed to expel any remaining bits and there is nothing else in there and my finger can heal properly now.

I don’t think there is any dead flesh, the problem is way too much living flesh, all of it involved in a fight for ownershiop over my finger. The white blood cells have home ground advantage, but the interloper bacteria have lots of sneaky tactics to use, and it’s only the pitch invasion by the antibiotic team that’s keeping the advantage for the home team.

Magnoplasm is good for pulling all of that out and letting the fresh white blood cells get in there. It’s meant for splinters and whitlows but I often use it for infected cuts with or without antibiotic treatment
