I actually, genuinely thought it was an accidental fire.

Speaks to the shit reputation those shit trucks deservedly have. But also how dumb of a location for an intentional fire.

I think it might have been more about the message a burning cybertruck, in front of a trump hotel, right by the trump sign, sends, than it was about the violence. Especially since the person is military trained and knew this wasn’t going to go all OKC federal building.

I mean the guy may have been at the end of his rope for multiple reasons. I mean fort bragg/liberty has really high levels of lead in their water, mold in their facilities, etc., plus whatever PTSD he may have had. Who knows. However, being trained, he should have known this wasn’t going to be some massive explosion, that it was mostly just going to set the truck on fire.

This is beside the point of course, but I just want to point out that while I do think renaming facilities that were named after confederate soldiers is overall a good idea, in Bragg’s case they should have made an exception. Through incompetence, he accomplished more for the union than for the confederacy.

For like 3 hours, it was glorious as my friend group wondered what part of the Cybertruck could have spontaneously combusted.

Then video came out and there’s colorful lights and we still weren’t sure.

It took a official report before we accepted it was a car bomb.

All I read is the truck bed was filled with flammables. ’ Is there a believable source for

      A. Whether the driver started the fire or it was sparked on accident.

      B. If it was not intentional, what was the actual target?

With military experience he’d know a little about fuel air explosives. Powerful fireworks are sufficient for making such a bomb, though they’re technically difficult (you need to trigger the second trigger explosion after the first has spread out the fuel enough to detonate)

I think he was expecting (in Marvin the Martian’s words) an earth shattering kaboom but didn’t do it right

Done right the amount of fuel would have done serious damage - all the energy released in the fire would have been released instantaneously, with a shock wave

A fully enclosed in non-air conditioned truck bed with a black lid in Las Vegas heat perhaps?

Is still probably intentional, otherwise it’s one of the more epic Darwin Awards.

The Delorean fan in me loves the asthetic and used to get jealous.

Cyber trucks being POS deathtraps that basically fall to pieces when you breath on them, their inability to do anything a normal truck can do, and the fact they make you bleed touching an door alleviated that completely.

So thanks for making them embarrassing junkers, Elon.

        Certainly not for use case.

        One was a sports car

One is (supposed to be) a pickup truck

But it’s clear to me what they were going for asthetically. There’s a bunch of people who already did BTTF prop time machine conversions.

That said, I wouldn’t buy a cyber truck because they’re poorly built, poorly engineered, and unsafe.

But one actually looks like a car.
The cybertruck has everything up front. Like they designed something, then had to concede that people have to use it, tacked something on, and didn’t bother hiding it.
The delorian looks like it was designed with the fact there would be people in mind
