In the meantime, the discovery documents we mentioned a few days ago have been unsealed. These documents are the smoking-gun evidence that Meta trained Llama on the LibGen book piracy site, that it did so with Zuckerberg’s direct permission, that it removed copyright notices from the training materials, and that it grabbed the materials via BitTorrent — which also made them available for uploading.
