Summary

Experts warn that Trump’s proposal for the U.S. to “take over” Gaza is fueling jihadist propaganda and could inspire terrorist attacks.

Security analysts say extremist groups will use his remarks to recruit, portraying the U.S. as an occupying force.

Critics, including Sen. Chris Murphy, argue Trump’s rhetoric directly aids terrorist recruitment.

Despite global backlash, Trump has defended his stance.

Former officials warn that, combined with recent cuts to intelligence agencies, these statements heighten the risk of terrorism targeting Americans at home and abroad.

Yeah so we know that cheeto isn’t capable of thinking ahead for more than 30 seconds, but seriously, he couldn’t see this coming?

He basically gave a nice big gift with a cherry in too to all terrorism networks in the world. Maybe Trump should become marketing manager for AlQaeda? I mean, I think few could have done a better job.

Having said that: expect terrorism to rise over the next few years like there is no tomorrow, literally.

Trump’s Gaza comments hand jihadist terrorists anti-genocide resistance fighters a ‘rallying cry,’

Dear imperial news… Stop promoting racism and genocide.

You’re trying to tell me there is no such thing as jihadist terrorists?because if you don’t I can send you a long LONG list of terror attacks by jihadist terrorists that killed countless innocent men, women, and children.

Now before you take this away and claim i support genocide, because that’s the world we live in now, I don’t. Obviously.

Once freedom fighter is a other ones terrorist

Having said that, jihadist terrorists have caused untold suffering as well. This might sound strange, but both sides can be bad and things like collateral damage don’t justify the suffering these groups have caused.

The Israeli government (not it’s people, just it’s vile leaders) should be put against the wall and shot for all the (child) murders and genocide. The same, however, goes for the jihadist terrorist groups, they too should be eradicated for the countless innocent people (and children) they’ve murdered

I think this person saw “jihadist terrorist” and understood that to mean Hamas or PIJ rather than ISIS and Al Qaeda, which is more the article’s intention.

Also notable that basically the whole world condemned this plan. So I’d say it’s a pretty damn broad audience who will rally against this.

I mean to be fair, it’ll hand both a rallying cry. Both resistance fighters and “let’s bomb some infidels” terrorists don’t like the prospect of an American annexation of Gaza, to put it lightly.

Also if getting rid of foreign invaders troops in your area is followed by them coming back 15 years later in a different place nearby, you might get tired of the whack a mole and start thinking of looking at the place they keep coming from.

Israel and Trump have the same end goal of turning Gaza into free real estate so unless the Arab states make enough noise I don’t think they’ll object too much.

The tone deaf, imperialist rhetoric supporting Islamic ethnic cleansing from the commander of the world’s most powerful military and nation can radicalized people on matters of survival and principle to fight back with whatever means that they?! Color me shocked.

This is exactly what we don’t need. Another 9/11 like attack could unify all of our politicians (and probably much of the population) behind Trump, which would end up being very bad for everyone. We’ve just arrived at a point where glassing the middle east with nuclear weapons is no longer a common talking point. Please, for fuck’s sake, just sit back and let the federal government implode.

I predict a contemporary security failure worse than 9/11 or Israeli October 7th Orc invasion, and will ignite the World War powder keg once again.

That is not, in fact, a rallying cry for Islamists. Fun fact: Even ISIS and Al Qaeda aren’t going around killing infidels abroad for its own sake. Both religiously and practically that’s absolutely moronic. ISIS wants to establish a caliphate led by them, while Al Qaeda attacks the West because it won’t fucking get its nose out of the Middle East. I mean I don’t agree with what they do, but they’re not in it just to kill infidels that’s not how that works.

Yes, but Al Qaeda’s main immediate focus is on expelling the West (mostly the US) from the Islamic world. In a way they’re revolutionaries while ISIS is an army.

No? Their goal is the caliphate which is why they were actively fighting Islamic nation’s militaries. The USA out if KSA is part of that goal because the US military would stop them much more teadily than the Saudi army would.

Why though? I mean they are manifest destiny-style settler colonialists who are more interested in getting the land than killing and expelling the people living on it, so while you can only really do the former after you do the latter even I don’t think “there are… Palestinians there!” serves as a rallying cry for them.
