      They actually sued another artist some years ago who jokingly credited a track of silence to Cage but didn’t actually pay royalties (apparently joking on credits is a no-no).

    Won’t silence be easy to filter out? If yes maybe random noise would’ve been better.

      I just read the article, it’s not silence but instead field recordings of quiet places like recording studios and performance spaces.
