I feel like with time, it will come. Especially with the way it’s been with Baphomet kinda quietly being a bit of a queer icon, in certain circles.

Oh, no plans on hiding it one bit. Proudly put it on my bag the moment I got settled in after work, and that thing goes practically everywhere with me.

I’m not sure how I feel about this, despite it being cute. Baphomet is very explicitly hermaphroditic, representing the union of opposites. This depiction either suggests that Baphomet is trans, which is extremely incorrect symbolically speaking, or that trans people are essentially hermaphroditic, which does not seem to be the desired perception among members of the community.
You have to remember that back in the old days they didn’t understand trans people as a concept well, which leads to that wrong idea that trans people are hermaphroditic. There is no such thing as a human hermaphrodite that just isn’t a thing. There are intersex people but Intersex people share nothing in common with those depictions of “hermaphrodites” you see. I personally think it’s much more accurate to imagine Baphy as a depiction of someone who is trans, maybe more specifically transfeminine due to the features and appearance they have.
