Tie a bunch of helium balloons around your waist. Weigh less and you get to enjoy balloons. And your (SO/cat/dog whatever you have) will be able to see where you are easier 👍

300 seems pretty solid, I just didn’t wanna find a 240 one and go over a bump and suddenly snap it

Focus on that then, use the scooter as a goal to lose weight. I personally went from 235 down to 195 in the past 5 months by not eating carbs/sugar (essentially keto). Didn’t change my actual activity levels, just stopped eating foods that pretty much do nothing for you and are very hard to process which results in excess body weight.

I’m at that weight because of my job, I have to be able to push literal tons of weight on wheels for hours a day. I’m actually not that high in body fat

Some of those have really low weight limits too though, my ebike is 250 pounds but I’m comfortably under that.

There are, but mine are 330 and 355lbs(I’m around 200, but like room to haul stuff. Dedicated cargo bikes can do even more.

My e-bikes are nothing special either, just a Portola and EP2 Pro

Apologies if I upset you in any way, still hope my success helps someone regardless. Didn’t mean to assume you were overweight. more of a happy personal information sharing I was doing.

I used a Razer scooter when I weighed 150kgs and the weight limit was 80. It was fine until I went down a main road breaking the whole way and the rear wheel melted and I had to bail onto the side of the road. Still, the metal was fine, just the wheel, so yeah, it can be done, but it can be way too much fun

Maybe I’m wrong then, when I did some research I looked at 3 or so different brands and they all said around 220-230, so I assumed that was pretty standard. They certainly didn’t look too flimsy

100kg-125kg (220-275lbs) are fairly common weight ratings yeah. Half of it is because the frame needs to handle you dropping a curb without snapping like a pretzel, but the other half is because gravity is a bitch and trying to go up even a small hill takes a lot of power.
Most escooters promise 25-30% climb capability, but hauling 300lbs up a 30% grade at just 10mph requires 2200 watts, while most smaller escooters max out at 500-1000W.
Even that 1000W is only enough for ~4.5mph.

How much do you weigh? Mantis makes some that do at least 265 lbs and I’m sure there are some with higher ratings. Let me see if I can find some stuff.

My weight fluctuates between 190 & 250lb; never had an issue with weight limits in vehicles of any kind.

Getting hired and fired from various jobs. Some more laborious than others. Can’t seem to hold a job down for too long thanks to my bipolar depression.

Find yourself an old Honda elite 125 or bigger on Craigslist or marketplace. You won’t have any problems. If you are lucky you can find one with the dope flip up headlight

Have you looked at the Piaggio MP3? I recall that it had a much higher than normal carrying capacity, at least on the higher displacement versions.
