Look on the bright side. Maybe we’ll get another honest conference video?

Maybe when it’s $20 for the complete Diablo 4 experience it will be worth looking at.

Terrible game, and I regret spending money on it. The Blizzard I knew from the 90s, man that name was synonymous with quality. They were the Rockstar of their day. That company is long dead.

I enjoyed D4. The art and music were top notch. The gameplay was fun, pretty on par with past diablo games, and definitely does get old after a bit.

I bought diablo 4 because post release everyone said it was good. They were right up until season 1 patch. It’s like Blizzard made a mistake by making a good game and desperately felt they had to fix that mistake.

I’m so happy I waited this time. This is a big ol skip for me, a diehard fan with thousands of hours in D2 and D2R :c

Agreed with what you’re saying about blizzard, but I don’t regret buying D4. I enjoyed the story and playing through the classes. The thing that’s missing is the replayability. The seasons don’t do it for me and the gear is too incremental - there’s never the “holy shit it finally dropped” moment.

Let’s face it. The days of having to make a decent game to get sales is dead. Now it’s churn out games with in game purchases and add-ons to maximize profit.

I love the internet, but it surely is a shit place right now. It’s now just a place to make as much revenue as possible. Going back to a 56k modem would be too painful but man the internet was just so cool back then. No ads, just the feeling of something new and everyone was in on it.

There are still great places on the Internet, you just have to seek them out. It’s the ones that are spoon-fed to you by the corporations that are soulless, adfilled shitlands.

I’m so glad I’ll have a reason to play the game again 18 months after buying and 17 months after running out of fun in the base game!

Disagree with the “anyway” thing. Traditionally, Diablo games haven’t grown their legs until the expansion/revision; where they became completely different (and better) games. This was true with D2/LoD, and certainly true with D3/RoS.

      I reserve hope.
