Most places have like 20% of their menu as fried (tempura) rolls.

My introduction to Japanese food was a spider roll, which is deep-fried soft shell crab done up into maki. Not traditional but damn good nonetheless.

Kinda silly though because deep frying the stuff sorta negates all health benefits of eating raw fish, veggies, and rice…

It depends on the place I suppose, in my experience sushi is pretty rice heavy which isn’t all that healthy either.

Delicious. One of the few fights my wife and I had was when she offered me some of her sushi she had just purchased and I put some butter in a pan and lightly seared both sides and then sat down next to her… and that’s when the fight started.

Tasted delicious though, had her try it and she agreed that it tasted better cooked but also that defeated the whole premise of Sushi and I was going to hell for doing this thing.

She no longer offers me sushi. Also, it turns out sushi people are just eating raw fish because they are pretentious and not because it taste better raw.

A little column A and a little column B. Some fish I don’t like raw and some I don’t like cooked.

This is fair, but I disagree on the fact that it isnt controversial enough!

“Japanese Embassy how may I help you?”

“I would like to report a crime on Japanese cuisine.”

“Let me transfer you to the Supreme Court of Japan.”

Little do people know there is a sushi type which you fry before serving.

Nah, theyre describing Korean Bbq which I agree, stupid concept to pay so much money to cook my own food. I rather have a bbq at my house for half the price

Nahhhh I love me some all you can eat Korean BBQ. Just sit around a table chatting with friends, grilling meats, clogging arteries, then you leave and don’t have to do any dishes or pack any leftovers!

All my friends would agree with you. But for the $30-40 per person I would much rather have a good steak with sides and dessert or a good Japanese rice bowl. -heck I would probably be able to afford 3 rice bowls!

I tried it once. Didn’t care for it.

I went with a group of 6 or so. We were waiting so long for the meat to cook between everyone that it didn’t fell like I was having a meal, just a snack. So I left feeling unsatisfied.

Might have been fine with a much smaller group.

What? I have to fuckin’ cook it? I’m never ordering that. I went to a restaurant NOT to cook. If I wanted to cook, I would’ve stayed at home.

On the one hand, sushi is delicious. On the other hand, I don’t like parasites and raw meat is one of the most common sources of them. This I think is one of the fundamental conflicts of humanity.

Don’t worry, it’s just satirical rage bait (I hope) and it’s actually really funny! Assuming it’s a joke of course…
