Ultimately, the decision rests with Biden on whether he stays in, and the president has been insistent this week that he’s not going anywhere. But these sources say that Biden is done — whether he drops out before November or loses to Trump on Election Day.

    It’s not Biden’s decision.

The DNC is a private organization with a nonbinding primary.

His cabinet could also use the 25th ammendment and it pretty much kills his candidacy as well.

Apparently he hasn’t had a full cabinet meeting since October 2023. Wouldn’t surprise me if his chief of staff is shielding him from the cabinet specifically over fears of them realizing just how compromised Biden is mentally.

Jesus. That’s even more insidious. More selfish. “We can’t let the people with the power to do something know they should probably do something.”

Great plan. Because they’re just opening up the country to bear the burden instead of his cabinet—whose fucking job it is to take care of this shit.

Jesus Christ that pisses me off

I’ve been saying that we know it’s a huge gamble to have another candidate at this point. But that gamble is worth it if they’re seeing that running him is a guaranteed loss. What the fuck

        Yep. There’s lots of options.

It’s just the people who can do it, are ones Biden put in power, so they don’t want to.

Just like how we found out lots of shit needed changed after trump was president, there’s lots of shit we need to change after Biden too.

We can’t just keep pretending another president will always do the right thing. We need an exit strategy for presidents like we’ve had the last two terms that routinely out themselves over the country

But practically, he could split the party.

Trump basically made the same threat back when he was an “undesired” candidate. They couldn’t get rid of him, because he’d just trash the party.

Bruh who the fuck would vote for Joe Biden if he wasn’t the Dem nominee?

trump? Yeah, that threat has teeth, republicans are stuck with him

But Biden? He doesn’t really have supporters, he has people who want to stop trump.

Not to mention, it’d be supremely out of character for him, not to mention the people around him, for that to ever happen.

Trump? Yeah, he’d do that in a heartbeat. But if Biden were forced out, I don’t see anything like that happening. I’m no great fan of the guy, but he’s not that detached from reality.

I’m far left. I’m not a Dem or Republican. Politicians are not our friends. Not somebody you “want to have a beer with.” They work for us. We need to hold their feet to the fire.

The problem is. You can and should hammer the parties regardless of who has the presidency. You don’t. And it’s odd.

They both are. Republicans control the house and much of the senate. Effectively control the judiciary. Democrats don’t control much even when they have a majority and strictly only control one of 3 branches of government at the moment.

    Dear Biden Campaign,

Joe has done good work and it’s time to rest and enjoy his remaining time with his family. He can’t win it. Please fake a medical emergency so he can drop out with some dignity and let Harris run with it.

This muckracking and hit pieces focusing on the one viable counter to Trump are becoming tiresome. Why not present an alternate besides “let trump win.”
