Why censor 4-Chan bad language in a 4-chan community. We can handle reading “normalfag”

It seems to be taken from a platform that scans for bad language in pictures and demonetises/restricts access to these posts.

Frankly censoring that word would have been better done by the user who typed itz

Drag doesn’t want to handle it. Drag wants to read greentexts without seeing slurs. Drag can handle it, but doesn’t think drag should.

Americans are fragile snowflakes who cannot handle seeing bad words regardless of context and intention. Their freedom of speech is severely restricted as a result.

This is not what I said. Using slurs is bad. Censoring slurs when quoting is also bad and useless. Only Americans are afraid of words in such a way.

If people weren’t so bad about seeing shitty things and then repeating them anyway then I’d probably agree with you more. It’s also not a freedom of speech thing since hatespeech(which includes slurs) is not protected in most places and it’s weird of you to bring it up at all.

Quoting hate speech without censoring in order to denounce it is not a bad thing. Here’s an example of the biggest French newspaper having the literal n-word* in the title of an article. They are not being hateful, they are quoting a chant by black protesters who used this word both ironically and in reference to a famous black French poet, to protest racist remarks by a higher-up at LVMH. Absolutely no one was offended by this article, because the newspaper isn’t actually racist ; it’s a quote.

              * I’m saying “n-word” instead of the full word, as I don’t want m-words to ban me because they do not understand context.

That’s not at all what’s happening here. It’s completely unrelated to the story and the story wasn’t posted in order to draw attention it the word choice.

You seem to have your own thing going on, you good?

That’s because French are more revolutionary than Americans. Protests and revolutions seems to be their annual holidays.

At least the latter is more of a self-label. The former is just nonsense for the sake of it, especially when “normie” already exists and is popular.

It doesn’t really matter, if they want to censor it that shouldn’t bother anyone except the people who’s a halfway well-adjusted member of society. It’s not some commentary on the death of free speech to opt to censor out a slur, chill.

I think you misinterpreted the intent of my comment. I was saying that everyone being some form of fag is a 4chanism, and wondered if the person replied to was familiar with 4chan, because the reason for the term is basically something you can’t have gone on 4chan and not seen.

Why did normalfags get censored? Who’s comfortable mining content from 4chan but not seeing the word “fag”?

I do not know whether that guy sits alone because he likes it that way…or maybe we won’t have anything to talk about and it’ll be awkward…? No use in risking it…

I am working on my mental health but this and much more was absolutely normal thought process I had before. I still have some leftovers. Yuck.
