Schizoposting is hilarious. Whenever I try it on lemmy they say “whoa, go to the hospital” or “banned for trolling” or “Координаты обрыва: 38.87584° северной широты, 77.06226° западной долготы”

I love that the world is healing enough to identify disorganized thought patterns as a symptom of schizophrenia instead of thinking it’s multiple personalities. Next let’s stop throwing so many of them in prison that the US correctional systems are the largest prescribers of antipsychotics…

One of my friends dipped into “emailing his friend’s bosses about the conspiracy against him” levels of schizophrenia during the COVID lockdowns and at this point I don’t think he’s coming back.

Can’t help but wonder how many people we alienate from their loved ones because we refuse to take mental health seriously.

College student on reddit asked why one professor would sometimes sub in for a different guy who looked and dressed the same, and why nobody else noticed the doppelganger.

Fellow gangstalkers, the TI has cracked the code. Move the plans forward to stage omega. The penguin cannot litter alone tomorrow.

You know, I just think people should look into schizophrenia. It’s nothing like what people think. And what I mean is like throughout history, like what they used to do for people with schizophrenia and versus what they do now. And kind of realizing it’s still kind of barbaric, our medical field is absolutely terrible. And then people’s perception of schizophrenia. Like, schizophrenic people are not violent people. And what’s interesting is that, you know, in our culture, I guess, our culture. People see the devil, but in other cultures, they see something else. You know, because there is no God. It’s just magical nonsense. And it made me think that people that go through all that stuff and then there’s people out there that just feed them this crazy nonsense about magic and shit. Religion is disgusting. We’ve really truly still live in the dark ages. Even before the cheeseburger king.

schizophrenia is normal people having bizarre experiences

although I will say that looking for hidden messages like this, engaging in wordplay and drawing startling conclusions from it, is definitely a hallmark feature of paranoid schizophrenia

not sure why anyone would engage in schizoposting for the memes though… “fools, i was only pretending to be sick”???

You could argue that seeing the devil is because the disguise of dark forces as magical nonsense does not work when people know what is actually at work
