Literally US doctrine since WWII. Germans whole strategy in the Battle of the Bulge was to attack while it was cloudy out, because if the sky was clear they were fucked. They got fucked as soon as the clouds cleared.

Honestly, they were already mostly fucked before hand since a lot of their armored units were either surrounded or all of the bridges along their intended routes were blown up. The air superiority just sealed their fates

The ground is generally found under the air, so when you have total air superiority, you actually just have total superiority.

What if I said we’ll do something about it, knowing full well that we won’t. Now do you believe I’m American?

            mumbles “Got it.”

“So the republicans would like to know how many Rubles you’ll pay.”

    I’ve watched a few WW2 docs some I hope I’m not confused.

But this one is really good and goes into the manufacturing and oil resource side of ww2. Which I think is horrifically undervalued in war documentaries

For your own sake get the British version not the American one. America narration is always over the top.

Yeah, it’s pretty funny when you step back and go “Okay, sure, America produced more war material than literally the entire Axis put together twice over. But also the main oil producers of the time turned out to be America, the USSR, and Britain? They also had literally the world’s entire rubber supply?”

Did-did-did-did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath the clear blue sky?
