The astronauts aren’t stranded, the teams just want to study the thrusters on-orbit, since they can’t study them afterwards. Humour at Boeing’s expense is quite popular at the moment though.

    If Boeing didn’t want to get laughed at, maybe they shouldn’t have such an open door policy for their planes.

      When one door closes another one opens but other than that the 737 MAX is a perfectly adequate airplane

        Except for that design glitch where they crash into the ground on autopilot. But I hear that’s fixed because now the optional orange light that tells you when the autopilot is feeling crashy is now included for free!

      Because they’re not. Plus this is an official NASA mission and Boeing has had to meet NASA specs the whole time. Test flights are just that too. The whole point of this exercise is to find any and all possible issues before giving the craft it’s final approval for standard missions.
