Realize the new tactic, trump admin will have the day of secondary goons fighting in public over multiple concepts, they’ll wait to see where public sentiment falls, and then trump will jump on the bandwagon and “punish” the face of the “losing” side.

Realize that old orange bag of loose shit is silent through this “controversy”. And, in the meantime, heritage foundation directed gop will use every second of the distraction to quietly pass bad law.

    Examples:

    • they just quietly defunded the department that tracks and reports on foreign propaganda efforts after musk just attacked it publicly link

    • And they just gutted $20b from the IRS that could be used to audit millionaires and billionaires - the IRS famously brings in more money for every dollar funded into the service link

This is all public theater to distract from his actual actions with the government—and the tech industry, too.

No, it’s not. Trump is too shallow for that. This is a legit question of policy with many racist motives from multiple parties.

They may be the Nazi fanboys that prop up musk and trump, but they forgot to be complete pawns, you never disagree with your dictators. They gave up freedom of speech along with all other rights, fools.

Free speech; but only in the context of “You are free to agree with my speech”

Why does this clown get so much coverage? There’s even sad fanboys who reference him with their username. Smh.

It may sound odd but this could actually be a sea change moment for a lot of people. Having been stuck around far right coworkers enough a lot of them have hung their hats on the whole “free speech” lynchpin. That’s the thing they condemn leftist spaces for doing, that’s the hill thwy will die on. Their sycophantic love of Musk is bound up in the idea that he’s some kind of champion of free speech. This likely is the rude shock some of them might need to realize that was never true.

Is it going to get them to revisit their whole worldview? Probably not. But it’s a crack in the facade.

He gets this much coverage because for better or worse, he now owns the Internet’s equivalent of the Town Square.

Every dumb-ass decision, stupid-ass contradiction, and dead-ass brain-fart are exponentially amplified as a result.

Every one of his fanboys are the true definition of SIMPs; suckers idolising mediocre personalities.

Maybe once we start calling a spade a spade, will those lemmings perhaps rethink their positions? Or will they continue to barrel head-first off the cliffs of self-respect?

Oh boy, I think I may be a bad person. Because I so want to see everything go wrong for this guy. And I mean EVERYTHING!
Lose his money, lose his home, get sick preferably something very painful, not be able to get healthcare, lose his family and friends.
But all he has lost is his mind, and he is completely oblivious to that.

But at least as the narcissist he is, I can at least find some comfort in the fact that his emotional life is probably pretty fucked up, and he will always feel sorry for himself for whatever ridiculous reason.

We can take comfort in knowing that narcissists generally are afraid of being wrong / outcasts. They hate themselves for their perceived weaknesses. Lonnie is deeply troubled, or he wouldn’t behave this way.

I love myself. I love that he hates himself. Rinse, repeat.

I never thought he was a genius, but I used to think he was a force for good. He got into Tesla and pushed for electric cars, and then with SpaceX started to put money into space exploration, and spoke in pretty progressive terms. But then he lost his mind, tried to build a sub to rescue those kids in Thailand and called that diver a pedo, went full-Maga, bought Twitter and started digging a hole to bury it in, and bought Trump’s presidency.

I can see he is very serious, because he writes: “Fuck yourself in the face.”
Not like when he said to advertisers they could go fuck themselves, back then he wasn’t serious, because when they actually did that, he threatened to sue them. But there’s a subtle difference in nuance, with the “in the face” part, so this time I think he may actually be serious.

Obviously Musk is a very smart man and very eloquent. It almost takes an expert to pick up the subtle nuances.
Like when he says Tesla will have FSD that is more secure than a human next year 8 years in a row, what he really mean is: “Fuck yourself in the face.”

I think that most of the time, that’s what he means.

Even more reason to end the program, then. If Musk not “done Space X”, somebody else would have. There is nothing special about him, and maybe it should have been an American to own those businesses after all?

It’s not the skills they’re looking for when they’re hiring h1bs in tech. It’s the ability to underpay due to the threat of deportation without their sponsorship as an employer that they want.

You can get the skills here. But you have to pay for them. These greedy shits don’t want to do that.

Not just underpaying, there’s the general ability to abuse employees that guys like Musk love. An American or permanent resident will be more likely to tell you to fuck off with your stupid idea or when your ask someone to work for 48 hours straight. Someone on a H1B visa doesn’t have that privilege (which isn’t a privilege, it should be a right).

Yep. Remember when Muck first bought Twitter and laid off everyone, and everyone who didn’t get laid off quit all at once? The workers that remained and kept Twitter afloat and online were H1B employees. They remained because the threat of deportation and/or death hung constantly over their head like the sword of Damocles. Muck loves H1B employees specifically because of their abuse potential.

It’s supposed to be. According to law an H1B employee should be treated with the same rights as someone who is a citizen or a permanent resident. You’re supposed to document that no citizen would take the job. In practice it’s difficult for H1B employees to change jobs because of the limited window to find a new employer so they can easily be manipulated and abused.
