Yes I do agree with you. But you also get paid to answer questions on that app.

I use an android smartphone, Firefox browser, and DDG for my default search engine. I do these surveys as a way to get paid to see what Google is still collecting about me, because unless I fully de-google they’re collecting info on me whether I get asked about it in a survey or not. I don’t get anything nearly as interesting as OP, but it’s kinda interesting to get asked if I made a purchase in a fast food restaurant that I walked past. I really need to stop using Google maps.

I’ve been pretty happy with Magic Earth as a Maps replacement

I use a Firefox addon to search bogus strings of words, then occasionally I’ll get a survey for one of them and give random answers.

One of my favorites is “what if ban keep using it?” around the time of the TikTok ban

I’ll get somewhere between ~.70-$1 off my monthly mullvad subscription AND I get to pollute googles advertisement database.

Bonus points if you use https://adnauseam.io/ to ‘click’ on all the ads and since the advertisers pay per click and you see like 100 a day… let’s just say ive cost an estimate of $2,000 and haven’t even SEEN a single one. It also blocks the ads since it’s a fork of Ublock Origin :)
