Our Air Force is… Well lemme just say this.

We had an RCAF base run out of paper a lil over 10 years ago and they had to start reusing paper and printing on the flip side.

Lol … Pinned a cake bake sale on a notice board at the Air Base for families … flip over the sheet and the other side is filled with text and the header reads TOP SECRET

You’re not super far off, just a different type of ‘classified’. Confidentiality. There was a situation where someones health records were on the flipside of a page that was one of many being distributed.

The Royal Canadian Air Farce … they probably didn’t need to use any imagination for that show

Were they ever released on DVD, or such? I would also like to see some old episodes.

This is the real reason for the US military budget. We’re the only thing keeping Canada contained right now and bro I don’t even know anymore. These motherfuckers have flying horses now? then what? Flying moose? Oh god help us what if they team up with the fucking geese???

The geese are already working for the government, covertly scouting landing areas in the US. Soon enough all the golf courses and large grassy parks are going to be improvised Canadian airstrips, I swear to God.

That’s what happens when politicians mess with procurement processes whenever they think they can make political or personal gain from it. They do it a lot too.

That happens all the time, and everywhere, not just in Canada. It’s why the US defense industry is spread out among all the 50 states, so that everybody can insist that their district gets part of the defense spending.

What’s happening with Canada is a lot worse, but it’s also not unusual for countries that are small but are part of a coalition that allows them to rely on other countries to protect them.

there are not, F-35 is second to none. complement that with survivable missile truck like F-15EX or F-16 if you don’t really need the former, and that’s all you need. not having F-35s is a huge disadvantage

I gotta say, Canada. It’s a little embarassing when you’re buying our old shit.

But you are landlocked by the US which is a deterrent in itself. That’s kind of what NZ does with being next door to us. What with their airforce of…checks notes…Yeesh. A handful of AW109s and some transport/patrol. I assume at least one of those things has some sort of weapon.

We gave Bombardier 1.3 billion in funding for the CSeries, straight from Québec’s worker pockets. They turned around and gave the control of the CSeries to Airbus, just a few month after. Bombardier’s CEO was given a huge perfomance bonus that year. Who are the suckers again?
